Storm Trooper Trivia

Not that your characters would know this but (sort of)....

So as we know from episode 2, the one where Yoda jumps around crazy style in CGI aganist Count Dooku, that the first storm troopers were clones of Jango Fett (the father of Boba Fett). Jango was apparently the best Bounty Hunter around in the galaxy at the time, so all the clones inherently have his potential to be awesome. From the results of the Clone Wars and Order 66, we're able to tell that the clones are in fact, pretty solid. So why are the Storm Troopers so, you know, storm trooper like in episodes 4 through 6, or about 20 years time? How could a force that was a reason for success become, it seems, a reason for failure?

Well, turns out the Jango Fett clones were really expensive. Really pricy stuff. So the Republic decided, let's take them to some cheaper contractor....no really, they did. As you would expect, while they were cheaper and could make more, these clones used lesser members of society for the clones and thus had some inherent defects. (Production for these clones start to occur a few months before this game began and are starting to be the majority). In addition, top ranked humans are allowed to join the Storm Troopers as well. However, in combat, the Jango feet clones continue to be superior to other storm troopers...and thus there are frictions among the various groups. It is unknown to this writer currently if the public is aware of these divisions; very likely it is known in the underworld/learned elites but not by the general public.

Storm Troopers, after the clones, can be male or female, by the way, though many more guys join the Republic. Under Palpatine, no draft has been needed, FYI.

But perhaps the most interesting thing (to me) is that the Jango Fett Clones KNOW they are Jango Fett Clones, and are perfectly fine with it. Interesting look on Identity and Clones in the Star Wars Universe...where as so many Sci-FI universes and stories are filled with this sort of conflict between perceived and real realities, and how much they really matter, Star Wars just goes "Meh" and continues with its stories...for me anyways, this lack of significant conflict/review/time spent on this issue is rather different.
